Spencer Tree Surgery is an owner operated company established in Kettering in 2003 . Since our inception we have built a large customer base, with a large proportion of our work gained through recommendations and repeat custom.
For various reasons it might be necessary to remove a tree down to ground level. There are two ways to do this :
Directional Tree Felling : Where space and safety permit, a tree can be felled in one piece.
Dismantling (Section Felling) : Very often space is limited and the tree must be taken down piece by piece. If the area below the tree is clear and free from obstructions, cut branches can simply be allowed to fall. When branches are too large or heavy for the climber to hold and throw clear, or obstructions prevent their 'free falling', then lowering ropes must be used.
Pruning varies between all species of trees as they can react differently to remedial work depending on time of year, health or vigour of the tree and the overall desired outcome you wish to achieve. The methods in which all our trees are pruned follow the set principles laid down in The British Standard guidelines BS3998
we can remove your stumps using a winch or a stump grinder. The stump grinder will mechanically grind out the main root plate, leaving a fine sawdust. This can be left to fill in the hole, used as a mulch in other areas of the garden or we can arrange to take it away for you
We undertake tree work throughout East Northants and serve domestic and commercial customers alike.
We are fully insured and comply with industry best practice submiting method statements and risk assessments when required.
We are happy to discuss your requirements from the smallest pruning work to large tree removals and site clearance work.
